Putnam Township Ordinances
Putnam Township has contracted with General Code (generalcode.com) to have its Code of Ordinances “codified” which simply stated, is to present all the ordinances arranged in a definite plan or scheme. The final product will incorporate supplemental legislation that was adopted subsequent to the first codification in 2004, which combined Zoning and General Law (health, safety and welfare ordinances) ordinances into one document, Titles I - V. This project is expected to take at least one year, possibly 18 months. Once completed, General Code will host our Code of Ordinances on their website which features enhanced navigation, expanded search capabilities, quick access to amendments, hyperlinks and cross-references for faster access to other relevant information. General Law Ordinances (Health, Safety and Welfare): Zoning Ordinances: Amendments to the Code of Ordinances are listed below that were approved by the Township Board, but have yet to be codified into Titles I – V of the Code of Ordinances.
